Originally known as Centerville when it was settled in 1852, Caro today is the central hub of Tuscola County as the county seat and major-retail center. Caro’s diversity offers a wide range of local businesses, specialty shops and national chains. The Caro Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to promoting the welfare of all Caro citizens and businesses while attracting new visitors, residents and businesses to the area. The Chamber works closely with the municipality, local officials and other area social/civic organizations to bring greater awareness to the resources available in the area and to the benefits of being a part of the Caro community.
