Located in the beautiful Victorian Village of Lexington, Michigan, this home was built as a private residence by Charles Moore in 1859 when Lexington was a major Great Lakes port. On July 30, 1901, the Moore's youngest daughter, Mary, married State Senator Albert Sleeper at the home. In 1917, he was elected Governor of Michigan. The Sleepers spent many summers here.

Since 1983, the home has served as a bed & breakfast and was formerly known as The Governor's Inn.
