Serving as the western gateway to Michigan’s Thumb Area, Reese is an agricultural-based community with roots dating back to its first settlers in 1865. In fact, Reese is home to the oldest John Deere dealership in Michigan. The Village acquired its unique name from the railroad’s superintendent, G. W. Reese, in 1873.

The uniqueness of Reese continues today as the picturesque-residential community of 1,500 sits among a landscape of farmland and natural resources.
